Meet Our Captains
Captain Paul Minning
I was born and raised in South Jersey and began my fishing journey in 1974. I was fortunate to start working as a mate part time shortly after in 1986, and then full time from 1989-1992. I have fished on many boats off of New Jersey out to 125 miles offshore and even won some fishing tournaments along the way.
I graduated college in 1989 with a Criminology degree.
From 1992-2000 I operated and managed a 44’ Sportfish where we mostly canyon fished.
During this time I also delivered boats up to 84 ft from New Jersey to Florida.
I was lucky to be able to move down to the beautiful Florida Keys in 2000. Once here I started running charter boats part time and managed the fishing department in World Wide Sportsman for 14 years.
In my spare time, I run several private boats to the Bahamas fishing.
During my time in the Keys, I have won several tournaments.
I am a licensed USCG captain and a certified marine propeller technician.
Captain William Chapman
I grew up outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Growing up I fished off the coast of New Jersey any chance I could.
After I graduated from high school I became a mechanic and owned my own auto repair shop. My passion for fishing soon took over, and I traveled down to the beautiful Florida Keys to pursue a career in fishing.
I am a United States Coast Guard licensed captain. I have worked as both a captain as well as a mate for the past 12 years. I started out as a deckhand and eventually moved up to running a charter boat. I then stepped back into being a mate/captain of a charter boat at Bud N' Mary's Marina named "Sachem". Wanting to travel, and move away from being a mate I started running the "Captain Cadillac" in February of 2009.
I am a member of the Bass Pro Staff.
I am very knowledgeable, attentive, and love to share my passion and excitement for fishing. I love teaching kids and can work with both advanced and beginner anglers.
I have fished from the New England area to the Gulf of Mexico, most of the Caribbean, Costa Rica, and all over the inland United States. Hopefully, my expertise will make your fishing experience one to remember for a lifetime!
Captain Mason Harris
I grew up outside of Raleigh, North Carolina in a family where vacations were based on fishing. Mostly fly fishing. My mother, father, and brother all enjoy being on the water together. Throughout my childhood, we frequently fished the Florida Keys.
My grandfather owned a home here and was deeply involved in the community. A truly talented fisherman and IGFA world record holder of several species, inshore and offshore, all on fly; it is to him I owe my obsession. I was fortunate to grow up learning the water here from him and the great captains he associated himself with.
In college, I began to turn my passion into a career by guiding in the summers at a remote fly fishing lodge in Alaska. I graduated from Sewanee: University of the South in 2014 with a B.A. in Natural Resources, focusing on watershed science.
After four seasons guiding mostly helicopter based trips in the Alaskan wilderness, I decided to move to the Keys and follow my saltwater ambitions. I live in Islamorada guiding, working as first mate on an offshore boat (The Solutions), and helping fisheries researchers conduct projects in the Everglades. Please join me for a day on the water and I will show you around a very special part of the world.
